Confetti

Wuthering Heights print

This is a Wuthering Heights themed print featuring a photograph I took a few years back on holiday. I felt the photo was very apt for a Wuthering Heights theme, the window view reminding me of the recurring use of windows as a motif throughout Emily Brontë’s novel.

The quote featured is one of the most iconic of the novel:

“Catherine Earnshaw, may you not rest as long as I am living. You said I killed you – haunt me then. The murdered do haunt their murderers, I believe. I know that ghosts have wandered the earth. Be with me always – take any form- drive me mad. Only do not leave me in this abyss, where I cannot find you! Oh, God! It is unutterable! I cannot live without my life! I cannot live without my soul!”

As well as the usual 4 x 6 and 10 x 8 sizes, this print comes in 7 x 5.

It features one of my absolute favourite quotes from the novel, one that particularly sums up its feminist message:
